General Brown, I feel that I am almost uniquely sincere in offering my CONGRATULATIIOS ON YOUR PROMOTION TO "GENERAL". I was a Captain when i graduated from the first F-4 Fighter Weapons School in 1965, and having flown with Robin in 1957 at Wheelus, I was able to join Robin and Chappie in Ubon, and serve as their Chief of Tactics, and as a Direct Report to Chappie. We became close friends, and as my ADVISIOR, I stayed "close" as he moved through the 33rd VICE, at Eglin; the Wheelus/CO and his departure to Weisbaden where I met him at the airport as the last America to escape Getaffie; and on to OSD/PA, where from JCS, and I was an attendee for his FIRST, SECOND and THIRD STAR; And with HiS PROMOTIO to "GENERAL" I was part of the Pentagon representation to MAC and on to CINC NORAD and SPACE COMMAND. AND lastly I had lunch with him at BOLLING on Wednesday before he flew to the SPRINGS on Thursday, and his ""FLIGHT WEST"" ON FRIDAY. CHAPPIE WAS MY FRIEND, MY LEADER, MY MENTOR""Doc
